Climbing chalk is mostly a white powdery substance made of Magnesium Carbonate (MgCO3). It's used to absorb sweat and keep your hands dry, allowing for a better grip on climbing holds. Climbing chalk comes in various forms (block chalkliquid chalk and loose chalk) and textures (fine or chunky) because it's effectiveness on grip depends on factors like grain size, surface area, humidity, perspiration, and rock type. There are also eco chalk alternatives. Shop our range or learn more about the differences in climbing chalk.
